Safety Installation

The modern homeowner is on a quest to make their home safer. That’s why so many people get things like security alarms and doorbell cameras. If you’re on a quest to make your home a safe place for your family, we offer plenty of services that can help you do so. If your safety measures are outdated, it may be time to upgrade them. We install new safety features as well as repairing or updating existing ones.

AFCI – Arc Fault
Some arc fault breakers can be a little sensitive. They’re there to protect you, but they can occasionally be overprotective. The smallest bit of loose electricity can cause an outage by tripping the breaker.

Sometimes, these breakers aren’t as sensitive as you think. They may be detecting a problem you aren’t yet aware of. Ignoring your arc fault breaker may be a mistake. Have Next Level Electrical take a look at it and make sure it isn’t a sign of something more serious.

GFI Outlets

GFI outlets are necessary for anything that wouldn’t be considered a large appliance, particularly ones with a motor. Things like washing machines and fridges don’t require one. These outlets are for general use appliances, specifically those that would typically be unplugged and stored away between uses.

GFI outlets will open and close, depending on whether or not something is plugged into that outlet. This means that power won’t be going to an outlet unless it’s in use. These outlets have buttons on them to test and reset them, in order to make sure they’re working properly. These outlets are most important around sinks or bathtubs, where homeowners will need to be careful about water coming into contact with electricity. Testing them on a regular basis assures that they’re operating properly.

If your GFI outlets aren’t working or if you don’t have them installed in the necessary areas of your home, we can solve that problem. We can repair or replace faulty GFI outlets and upgrade the rest of your outlets to meet the latest safety standards.

Smoke Detectors

Smoke detectors are some of the most important devices in your home. One of the biggest mistakes you could make as a homeowner would be to neglect or disable your smoke detectors. Placing one right above the stove may only alert you of the obvious. You’ll some multiple smoke detectors strategically placed throughout your home to alert you of an emergency before it becomes a disaster. We can help determine the spots and install the smoke detectors you need to keep your family safe.

Carbon Monoxide Detectors

Without carbon monoxide detectors, you may have no way of knowing that carbon monoxide has entered your home. Carbon monoxide isn’t just a nuisance – it can slowly and silently kill you without any warning signs. It’s very serious, and it’s unwise to take your chances.

Carbon monoxide is a byproduct of any kind of fuel. Even wood burning stoves and charcoal grills emit carbon monoxide. If you forget to turn your car off in the garage, that area will begin to fill with trapped carbon monoxide that could easily build up to fatal levels.

Any home that uses any kind of fuels, or is located near another building or structure that uses a lot of these fuels, should be equipped with several carbon monoxide detectors. They may be the only way to know that lethal carbon dioxide has entered your home.

Surge Protectors

Most homeowners understand the importance of surge protection. Many choose to use external surge protectors on outlets that power their important or expensive devices, such as their computers and televisions. Power surges can damage or even destroy these devices. With whole home surge protection, every device is always protected. You won’t need to purchase and install a bunch of smaller accessories. You can plug and play without fear that your device is vulnerable to electrical surges.

Professional grade localized surge protectors can also be placed in vulnerable areas of your home if you aren’t looking for whole home surge protection. If you only have a media room, a home office, or a gaming area that you’d like to be secured, the focus can be placed solely on that area of your home.
