Electrical Repair Services

Some people call an electrician when they want to install a new feature, but most people call when something is broken. Since we’re full service electricians, we can do whatever you need us to do. We can repair or replace any electrical component of your home that’s broken, or simply not working as well as it used to work.

Outlets

There are many ways an outlet can break. Maybe it just doesn’t work when you plug things into it. If it only has two prongs and you need a grounded (three prong) outlet, we can repair and replace your previous outlet.

Outlets that are smoking or streaked with brown or black smudges are dangerous. If you’re calling us because there is charring on the plastic, there is visible smoke, or the outlet generates sparks, don’t touch that outlet. Turn off the breaker if you can, and wait for us to get there. This is usually an emergency situation.

Wiring

We can repair damaged wiring. If we find that your damaged wiring is a dangerous kind, such as knot and tube wiring or old fashioned aluminum, all of your wiring will need to be replaced. That kind of wiring cannot be used anymore, because it poses a greater risk for electrical fires. Once one part of that wiring is damaged, it’s bound to spread throughout the rest of your home. If you have an older home, you might have this dangerous wiring.

Lighting

We can fix all kinds of lighting fixtures. If you’d rather replace a damaged lighting fixture, we can put a new one in its place. We can also install pot lights in your home.

Ceiling Fans

We can fix old ceiling fans or install new ones. If the problem is with the electrical, we may be able to run new wiring to the fixture. If the problem is with the fixture itself, we’ll be able to hang a new ceiling fan in the old one’s place. As long as you have the fixture, we can put it up the same day.

Panel Upgrades

If you have a sensitive breaker that keeps tripping or you don’t understand the way your panel works, we can take a look at it. I may be out of date, and there could be something wrong with your circuits. We’ll repair the problems and upgrade your panel to match.

Dimmers and Switches

Lights keep flickering? Temperamental switches or dimmers? We can take a look at them. We can also upgrade regular switches to dimmer switches while we’re already fixing the problem. We can install things like timers if you often forget to turn off a light or an appliance. Timers and dimmers can help you save money on your electricity bills.

Detectors

We can inspect your smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. If you haven’t had them checked for accuracy in a while, you may be long overdue. You don’t want to find out that your detectors aren’t working after a fire or a carbon monoxide incident. These alarms can be the only things to alert your family when disaster strikes at night. It’s important that they’re always in working order.
